The Alameda in Marbella is in the heart of the town, idyllic with plants, flowers and fountains. Located on the Costa del Sol of Spain.

The Alameda is a unique place in the city of Marbella, the opposite of what you see on other sites, with cement as the main ingredient. The Alameda in Marbella is lush green and quiet, while in summer with the intense heat the Alameda can be a relief to walk around. While not an enormous park, it is well appreciated by everyone and an obliged visit for all tourists, as its location puts you exactly between the old town and the Avenida del Mar.
The Alameda was much more extensive, but gradually the demand for land for development took its toll.
Throughout its history, from the first species planted in the eighteenth century, the park has undergone several renovations, acquiring its present form in 1930 with the construction of the Avenida del Mar.

It may not be overly spectacular, but for the Alameda Marbella is very dear. Seniors gather here to chat and enjoy the shade as well as youth groups. There are many events and markets, always something to see or do.
In its surroundings there are bars, shops and restaurants and on the corner overlooking the Avenida Ramon y Cajal you will find the newly renovated Café Marbella, one of the oldest and most famous in the town.
Right in front of this cafe is also another attraction of the Alameda, the horse carriages. From here you can enjoy the city of Marbella in a different way, taking a fun tour of the centere by horse.
From here you can also visit the Mall and the old town, then stand on the Avenida del Mar to enjoy a beautiful view of the statues of Dali and the beach.

Getting here by bus is not difficult, all lines passing through the centre pass in front of the park, such as the L-1 or L-3 services. If you come by car, parking is difficult, but you can use the public parking Avenida del Mar, or the Building Parquesol.

If you are in Alameda and you feel like partying, club-disco Buddha Marbella is located just behind the park, on the Avenida del Mar, while the Mombasa Cafe is on the corner with Avenida Miguel Cano.
