- A day in Puerto Banus
Puerto Banus, Marbella is one of the main ports on the Mediterranean Sea and its Marina has the highest number of luxury yachts.
A day in Puerto Banus is one of the main activities to do during your stay in Marbella, allowing you to get to know the glamorous side of the town. You can get to Puerto Banus very quickly along the N-340 or, if your apartment is located in Marbella town, just follow the road parallel to the coast passing through the centre, and you will arrive there within minutes.
The first thing people usually visit is the marina. Here you will see yachts and boats of all kinds, and very often you can see Maseratis, Ferraris or Lamborghinis parked up.
Along the Paseo del Muelle Ribera there is a long line of luxury restaurants, separated by fashionable boutiques of the most exclusive brands in the world. Walking around the marina is a pleasure, but always crowded during the summer months. If you come at night, right on the first street parallel to the marina there are several bars and pubs for refreshments before continuing the party at a nightclub.
Leaving the marina, the tour continues with a visit to the Plaza Antonio Banderas and the surrounding shopping centres.
Here we find the Costa Marina Banús and Marbella El Corte Inglés, perfect for shopping, while if you like movies, you have the Gran Marbella Cinema Complex. Another attraction is the Hard Rock Café, located right on the corner of the plaza.
You can also stroll along the Boulevard of Fame and discover all the famous people honoured for having helped to promote Marbella in Spain and abroad, by having their own star engraved in the boulevard.
The beaches stretch both the right and left of the marina, you can enjoy the sun and a swim to escape the heat, or decide to leave the tour of Puerto Banus and spend the day at a beach club.
On cooler days, you can also take a long walk from Puerto Banus to Marbella along the promenade, with lines of luxury villas and mansions, as well as the stunning coastline. The walk is beautiful and offers beautiful views, but if you decide to complete this walk, bear in mind that you will have to walk at least a couple of hours to get to Marbella centre.
