How to get to Marbella by train | Spain

You can get directly to Marbella by train, but you can get to Fuengirola that is really close.
From here you can use the local buses to comfortably get to Marbella.

The nearest train station to Marbella is the Fuengirola station, the Renfe local train service stops here.

Taking a train to Fuengirola is one of the options available to you, but not the most advisable, especially if you are coming from the Málaga airport as the length of the trip can be really long. In any case, from the María Zambrano Málaga station and the airport you can get a train to Fuengirola.
The local train stop at the airport is located just in front of terminal 3. You just need to go outside the terminal, cross the road and you will see the station.

Once arrived in Fuengirola you need to switch from the train station to the Fuengirola bus station. This is very near , you can walk over there even if you have luggage.
The bus to Marbella is the M-220. The bus is run by the Portillo Company. This trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes, but in the summer it can take longer due to the traffic.
